Truckfest 2020 is on at the East of England Showground, Peterborough: Here's everything you need to know
Truckfest rolls back into the East of England Showground in Peterborough on Sunday, August 30, and Monday, 31.
The event, which usually runs over the May Bank Holiday, was delayed due to the coronavirus pandemic.
But, with all the necessary health and safety guidelines and COVID-19 precautions in place, it is back temporarily over the August Bank Holiday weekend.
It means that, with restrictions eased, truckers, truck fans and families who enjoy this annual spectacle all over the UK will now be able to walk around the East of England’s vast Showground getting those all-important photographs of the UK's top trucks on display.
From classics of yesteryear to giant American Super trucks visitors can expect to see the best there is.
The main arena will be alive with monster truck and motorcycle action, plus road rescue demonstrations. A street food market will have a wide variety of delicious hot food available and shopping amongst the trader’s market and family funfair rides will also be part of Truckfest 2020.
And back by huge demand, the ever-popular monster truck rides are back with a nice bright new shiny Monster Truck all ready to go.
For the Truckfest and East of England Showground teams, organisers stress that the safety of their visitors and exhibitors is their number one priority and they can confirm that they have complied with the Government’s guidance on managing the risk of COVID-19.
The Truckfest team are working in partnership with all the showgrounds this year to produce its 2020 Truckfest events that are above all safe and whilst perhaps looking slightly different, have all the magic that visitors have come to love.
Event Director Bob Limming said: “Our team have worked tirelessly to make sure we bring you the event you have grown to love over the past 30 years or more.
“Whenever we ask our visitors why they come to Truckfest the reply is always the same ‘we’ve come for the trucks’ and we promise you we will still have lots of trucks and lots of fun for all the family at Truckfest 2020.
“We ask you this year to pre-book online and you can do so on the Truckfest website where you will, of course, enjoy the pre-booking discount.
“Your advanced ticket will also ensure swifter entry into the event.”
